if you expect me to try my best all the time, why are you surprised when i need time to cool off

and then am i supposed to smile in front of everyone like everything is okay

i tried to tell them this wasn't a good night for me to be out with the family and they didn't listen

So I can't win.

if I'm supposed to unconditionally love these people all the time, can't I at least have a break.
